New Era Dianetics Win

Delancey (at right with her auditor Tom) completed a New Era Dianetics rundown, the Drug Rundown. This is auditing which resolves the factors in the reactive mind related to drugs, medicines and alcohol, eradicating not only the unwanted aftereffects of these substances, but even reactive forces that initially led one to turn to drugs. The harmful effects of drugs on the mind are erased and a person is freed from any compulsion to take drugs. Here is her success story: "I haven't taken very many drugs this lifetime but this rundown cleaned up any and everything that was still there as a result of drugs! Now I know they won't affect me in my future auditing and that's a good feeling :)"

Grade IV Completion!

Expanded Grade IV, Ability Release: The auditing processes of this Grade enable the person to view himself in relation to all life and free himself from any patterns of thought and action which, while seeming to promote one's survival, in reality, do any but. When one moves out of fixed conditions, he can experience a huge resurgence in the ability to choose, partake in and enjoy new activities. Moving out of fixed conditions and being able to do other things is attained at Expanded Grade IV. Delancey, Mission Staff Member, completed this Grade and here is her success story: "This was an amazing auditing action, While each grade gave me a newly regained skill and awareness of myself and the wold around me, Grade IV far surpassed the gains of all the others. Here's Donna's success story: "I’m not really sure where to begin on this. It’s a really great accomplishment for me to have gotten through all of the extension courses. I’m one of those people who almost never goes to course. Of course, I had great excuses like I’m a staff member and there is always lots and lots to do on post.

But this time around I got really interested. Reading these Basics in the right sequence gave me all of the data that I had been missing. I found out that you can’t get through courses by doing one page every three weeks or worse. You have to go and study alot and go as fast as you can. I feel like I was getting into present time on the Dianetics^® and Scientology^® time line. I would be still in the “past” if I hadn’t gone through all of these books and I still need to listen to all of the lectures now too, so that I have all of the data.

There’s a lot more too - like the tremendous way in which studying all this data in sequence helps understanding. I feel like was right there with Ron as he is working out all the ways this all works and how it all fits together. I’ve listened to a lot of the lectures and read books before, but I skipped around all over the place and never did read stuff in sequence before. It’s all making a lot more sense now."

Get to Know Your Camera

Marc began taking photographs in the 1960s, starting his career in photography at the legendary Peninsula School where he eagerly learned composition and darkroom skills. He took frequent trips with camera to the mountains and the coast, falling in love with the beauty and the spirit of the Sierra and the California coast. Through his images he has been able to capture the expression of the spirit, each telling a story, whether of the spirit of nature or the spirit of the individual.

Marc studied the works of masters such as Ansel Adams, the Westons and Henri Cartier-Bresson but quickly forged his own unique style and quality.

He honed his skills at the celebrated San Francisco Art Institute. Founded in 1871, the Art Institute is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of higher education in art and photography in the United States. The Art Institute’s photography department was founded by no less than Ansel Adams and Minor White.

Silber’s work covers a full range from action shots, to candid portraits to landscapes. His series from the Sierra Madre, Mexico gives us a rare glimpse into the remote mountain region above Mazatlan, days by jeep and foot. He tells of the people being so grateful for the medical help that his project brought that he was allowed to photograph and capture their life in a completely intimate manner.

Though Marc moves through his fifth decade as a professional photographer he is still constantly exploring approaches, styles and projects.

Marc is a senior Scientologist as well as an accomplished public speaker and loves to teach photography through his workshops and published works. Often his workshops have accompanied his exhibits, with excellent reviews.
